AN ANGEL APPEARS TO MARY
Since the first promise of the Messiah in , the prophets and people had looked forward to the coming Messiah. Many prophecies were given. Now an angel appears unto Mary, telling how she would be the mother of the Son of God, the Messiah.

By man’s evaluation, Mary was perhaps the most unlikely person to become the mother of the Messiah. This is how God works. What seems unlikely to man is accepted by God. Man does not see as God sees. He looks beyond the outward appearance. He sees the hidden ability and the surrender of the person, and He uses this person.
