Contending for the Faith
Contending for the Faith
Story:
Into: This is the time of year what many are focused upon buying, gift giveing, and merry making! not many are paying attention to who is out there plotting to seal, mislead, deceive in what ever way they can for their own selfish, reasons; moreover they will and are coming after your faith, (that which you believe in). many will ser-come unfortunately, because they do not have a good foundation in what they believe, not that it isn’t important to them, it not high on their priority list of thing that deserve undivided attention. As a result, many are wobble (not sure) on what they believe, many are being deceived into believing in something falsely, even lead astray. I must points out that the false teachers, in their selfish actions, have rejected the authentic Jesus Christ Jude challenges I must warn you to remain firm in the faith that leads to eternal life and encourages Faith to live as believers empowered by the Holy Spirit, standing in the love of God's Word!

Vs 3, "3 Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
Common Salvation
It is not certain what Jude was intending to write about common salvation;however, withing the subject which is broad and wide, it can be understood the subject was to straighten there most common faith.
Jude said that he was diligent to write: (he was eager and with fervor to write) to his audience. which give the impression that James loved pastoring one of the LORD's churches.
Change in the Discussion
However, something came up that was more pressing (, ἀνάγκη) The Holy Spirit constrained James to write about that which was more needful, a matter that was more pressing and of grave importance.
Jude was exhorting them (
This is the time of season many would love to hear messages about Christmas, and all of the fluff that goes, but there is a danger in the air, it has the intentions of doing irrevocable harm and damage to the saints of God. So we must preach about a matter more pressing, I have need to preach to you about contending for the faith!
Contend Earnestly for the Faith
Jude is stressing that the church would :παρακαλέωd; : to cause someone to be encouraged or consoled, either by verbal or non-verbal means—‘to encourage, to console, encouragement.’
Jude stressed with the force of a command that they would (ἐπαγωνίζομαι:Vb. Present, Middlel, Passive ,Inf. Com.:to exert intense effort on behalf of something—‘to struggle for.’ in guarding (keeping!)
Contend for the Faith (πίστιςe, εως f: (semantic derivative of πίστιςd ‘to be a believer, Christian faith,’ 31.102) the content of what Christians believe—‘the faith, beliefs, doctrine.’)

Vs 4, "4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
Certain Men
We see them in Galatians misleading the believer with another gospel, the weake fell for it and was possibly lead astry by these men. We see it today, all around us, these certain men mascaraed as one of us, however, they are not, we must be able to unmask them, God's Word does just that. (, 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works."
They are false teachers (4) They pervert the Truths of God Word by twisting, fluffing the doctrinal truth with flattery.
They creep into the church secretly (4) they enter un-noticably, they except the teachings of the church, but they reject the truth of who Jesus Christ it and what He came to do. They are not of us(, "4 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,
They are ungodly (4)
They are immoral (4)
They deny the Lord God
They teach things that are shameful (13)
They are grumblers and faultfinders (16)
They flatter people for personal gain (16)
Example of how to test them weather they are of the Faith
, "4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. 4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them.
, "1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 14. 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
, "5 Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:“Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me.
Eternal Security
, "27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and My Father are one.”
Roman 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:“For Your sake we are killed all day long;We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Baptism: the Door into the local body
, "3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
