Revelation 2:18-19

18 “And to the angel of the church in Thyatira write:

The Son of God, who has eyes like a flame of fire, and His feet are like burnished bronze, says this:

19 ‘I know your deeds, and your love and faith and service and perseverance, and that your deeds of late are greater than at first.

I.       Their charity

A.   A disposition to do good to all men

Galatians 6:10

10  So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.    

B.   There is no religion where there is no charity

II.    Their service

A.   Ministries of the church, those who labor in the word, doctrine

III.  Their faith

A.   This is the grace that actuated all the rest, both their charity and service

Galatians 5:6

6  For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love.    

B.   Not about the outward it is all about what is in us, and comes out of us..

IV.Their patience

A.   Those that are most charitable

B.   Those who are diligent in their places

C.   Those are faithful

D.   Can expect to meet that which will exercise their patience

V.   Their growing fruitfulness

A.   Their last works were better than the first

B.   This is an excellent character

C.   When others have left their first love, and lost their first zeal

D.   These are growing wiser and better

E.   It should be the ambition and earnest desire of all Christians that their last works may be their best works

F.    That we may be better and better every day, and best at last.

1 Thessalonians 4:1

1  Finally then, brethren, we request and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received from us instruction as to how you ought to walk and please God (just as you actually do walk), that you excel still more.
