Resting In Faith
Explains that the heavens and earth and the host of heaven and earth were all complete (Day 1-6).
He rested from us all (those he created) and is inviting us into the day 7 state of being with him.
He rested from us but continues his ongoing will through us.
It’s the manifestation of his finished work being revealed.
(verse?)
Let us therefore take great care to understand that the gospel was preached unto us as it was unto the Children of Israel.
As for them they received the word but it did not profit them to assist them in entering into his rest because it was not mixed with their faith.
What is Faith and how do I mix it with the Word?
The word is both spoken and written and when we hear it and receive it as truth, and take the corresponding actions of obedience to the word we have received, we enter into his rest.
It is the act of obedience to his word that is translated into the mixing of our Faith with his word.
What is a state of rest?
The state of rest is having comfort in knowing that you are in the presence of our Heavenly Father and that everything he is and has is with him.
What is a state of rest?
Where is the place rest?
The place of rest is in the 7th day (the interval) where God is.
It is the place where he speaks from.
It references the 7th day so that we can cease from attempting to work our way to where he is.
It is by the Faith of our obedience of his word that causes us to remain where he is.
Hebrews 4
Come boldly to the throne of God and his will give us mercy and grace to assist us with our inability to receive the word, believe the word and obey the word.
He will assist is even with the mixing of our Faith!
Come boldly to the throne of God and his will give us mercy and grace to assist us with our inability to receive the word, believe the word and obey the word.
He will assist is even with the mixing of our Faith!
God’s mercy is not in reference to easing up the pressure that he has put us under, but instead him easing the pressure that the enemy is attempting to put us under.
Paul had a thorn in his side that he wanted removed.
He felt that it was a hindrance to his capacity to complete the will of God for his life.
But God said to him “My Grace is Sufficient for you”.
In other words he wanted Paul to know that even though there was something in the Natural that was opposing his desire to do the work of the Lord with ease that his Grace would allow him to overcome and have Great success.
Now unto him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless in the presence of his Glory with exceeding joy.
To the only wise God, be Glory, Majesty, Dominion and Power, both now and forever.
Amen!
Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
4 These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens
Why does God’s will flow more through some than it does through others?
There is our will and God’s will.
When we erect the wall of our will in our lives, this prevents the flow of God’s will through us.
Have you ever driven through a wall.
Typically if we come to a road block of some sort we take a detour to continue to our destination.
Well the same is true with God’s will.
His desire in that his will can flow through us all.
However when he shows up and encounters the wall of our will, he goes around us and flows through someone else who had prioritized his will in their lives.
How do we implode the wall of our will and make room for the flow of his will?
We tear down the wall of our will immediately when we line up in our understanding with his word.
God’s will is simply is Word.
When we hear the word and receive it as truth and take the corresponding acts of obedience, then immediately the wall of our will comes down.
We must have a commitment to his word and receive it as final authority.
