John 14:11–14 NASB95
11 “Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves. 12 “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father. 13 “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 “If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.
John 16:7 NASB95
7 “But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.
Look at the standard that had already been established.
Matthew 10:7–8 NASB95
7 “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.

1 Samuel 17:1 NASB95
1 Now the Philistines gathered their armies for battle; and they were gathered at Socoh which belongs to Judah, and they camped between Socoh and Azekah, in Ephes-dammim.
The Philistines are the bad guys. They represent Hell and all it’s forces.
Gathered at Socoh.

1 Samuel 17:1 NASB95
1 Now the Philistines gathered their armies for battle; and they were gathered at Socoh which belongs to Judah, and they camped between Socoh and Azekah, in Ephes-dammim.
It belongs to Judah. ( Praise) They camped between the hedge and Azekah, (Cultivated ground, ground tilled and prepared to be sown.) in Ephes-dammim: Boundary of Blood
Socoh: Shut in for protection or restraint.
Azekah: Tilled or cultivated ground.
Ephes-dammim: Boundary of Blood.
The Enemy wants control of the Hedge. If he controls the hedge, he can keep the Children of Isreal from sowing into the harvest field, purchased by the blood.
1 Samuel 17:2–3 NASB95
2 Saul and the men of Israel were gathered and camped in the valley of Elah, and drew up in battle array to encounter the Philistines. 3 The Philistines stood on the mountain on one side while Israel stood on the mountain on the other side, with the valley between them.
Elah: A place of Strength, but they are in a valley. “Pastor Allen, I know we have won the victory, but it’s been a rough year. Meanwhile, the enemy is standing at a wall, in possession of a tilled harvest field which had been purchased by blood.” It’s just sitting there, waiting to be sown, watered, weeded and harvested.
1 Samuel 17:4–5 NLT
4 Then Goliath, a Philistine champion from Gath, came out of the Philistine ranks to face the forces of Israel. He was over nine feet tall! 5 He wore a bronze helmet, and his bronze coat of mail weighed 125 pounds.
1 Samuel 17:6–7 NLT
6 He also wore bronze leg armor, and he carried a bronze javelin on his shoulder. 7 The shaft of his spear was as heavy and thick as a weaver’s beam, tipped with an iron spearhead that weighed 15 pounds. His armor bearer walked ahead of him carrying a shield.
What a giant: The giant always wins.
1 Samuel 17:8–9 NASB95
8 He stood and shouted to the ranks of Israel and said to them, “Why do you come out to draw up in battle array? Am I not the Philistine and you servants of Saul? Choose a man for yourselves and let him come down to me. 9 “If he is able to fight with me and kill me, then we will become your servants; but if I prevail against him and kill him, then you shall become our servants and serve us.”
1 Samuel 17:10 NASB95
10 Again the Philistine said, “I defy the ranks of Israel this day; give me a man that we may fight together.”

חָרַף châraph, khaw-raf’; a prim. root; to pull off, i.e. (by impl.) to expose (as by stripping); spec. to betroth (as if a surrender); fig. to carp at, i.e. defame; denom. (from 2779) to spend the winter:— betroth, blaspheme, defy, jeopard, rail, reproach, upbraid.

I DEFY THE RANKS OF ISRAEL: I expose them. I strip them. I surrender to them. Here I am take me. Ready: Isreal, hedge, Giant, harvest field all in a field, purchased by the blood. You want your harvest, then bring it on.
1 Samuel 17:11 NASB95
11 When Saul and all Israel heard these words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and greatly afraid.
Verse 16
1 Samuel 17:16 NASB95
16 The Philistine came forward morning and evening for forty days and took his stand.
40 days. Morning and evening the same thing keeps happening.
Jessie sends David to check up on the fight.
1 Samuel 17:20–21 NASB95
20 So David arose early in the morning and left the flock with a keeper and took the supplies and went as Jesse had commanded him. And he came to the circle of the camp while the army was going out in battle array shouting the war cry. 21 Israel and the Philistines drew up in battle array, army against army.
They are dressed for battle. They are shouting the war cry. Today is the day.
1 Samuel 17:23 NASB95
23 As he was talking with them, behold, the champion, the Philistine from Gath named Goliath, was coming up from the army of the Philistines, and he spoke these same words; and David heard them.
1 Samuel 17:24–25 NASB95
24 When all the men of Israel saw the man, they fled from him and were greatly afraid. 25 The men of Israel said, “Have you seen this man who is coming up? Surely he is coming up to defy Israel. And it will be that the king will enrich the man who kills him with great riches and will give him his daughter and make his father’s house free in Israel.”
Read: vs 24 and HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN? Day after day. Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, the giant shows up and it becomes Tomorrow, tomorrow, we love you tomorrow, Victory is only a day away.
Why Are We Not Doing The Greater Things?
The Giant of Fear Keeps Us From Our Harvest Field.
We are either going to Walk By Faith, or We are Going to Be Paralyzed By Fear.
1 Samuel 17:26 NASB95
26 Then David spoke to the men who were standing by him, saying, “What will be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should taunt the armies of the living God?”
David: What do I get for killing him? We are the army of the LIVING God. He doesn’t even have a covenant.
Remember the Question:
Why Are We Not Doing the Greater Things?
We forget the Giant Lives Inside of Us.
Romans 8:31 NASB95
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?
God is For Me.
1 John 4:4 NASB95
4 You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
Larger: God is bigger than any challenge, attack, or trial I may go through. Pastor Allen, I don’t want to go through an attack or trial.
Review: No one was dying. No one was hurting. Everyone was comfortable. They just didn’t have possession of their paid for harvest field. We really are not much of a threat to take our city for Jesus if we are content to just have a good church service.
David is Ps. 23
Psalm 23:4–5 NASB95
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows.
I will fear no evil, why? fade in. You are with me. The Giant always wins. Vs. 5. Right in the middle of overwhelming circumstances, vs 5. How about if we sit down and let the enemy see us eat.
The Giant Always Wins.
Pastor Allen. I know these things, but.....
Back to verse one.
1 Samuel 17:1 NASB95
1 Now the Philistines gathered their armies for battle; and they were gathered at Socoh which belongs to Judah, and they camped between Socoh and Azekah, in Ephes-dammim.
The hedge belongs to praise.

We Can’t Praise the Enemy All Week Long, and Expect a Two Hour Church Service to Overcome Our Mouth.

Proverbs 18:20 NASB95
20 With the fruit of a man’s mouth his stomach will be satisfied; He will be satisfied with the product of his lips.

בֶּטֶן beṭen, beh’-ten; from an unused root prob. mean. to be hollow; the belly, espec. the womb; also the bosom or body of anything:— belly, body, + as they be born, + within, womb.

sâbêa˓, saw-bay’-ah; a prim. root; to sate, i.e. fill to satisfaction (lit. or fig.):— have enough, fill (full, self, with), be (to the) full (of), have plenty of, be satiate, satisfy (with), suffice, be weary of.

Proverbs 18:21 NASB95
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.
This is not an option. What comes out of your mouth will be produced in your life.
Back to David. Selling himself to Saul.
1 Samuel 17:33–36 NASB95
33 Then Saul said to David, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are but a youth while he has been a warrior from his youth.” 34 But David said to Saul, “Your servant was tending his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and took a lamb from the flock, 35 I went out after him and attacked him, and rescued it from his mouth; and when he rose up against me, I seized him by his beard and struck him and killed him. 36 “Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, since he has taunted the armies of the living God.”
1 Samuel 17:37 NASB95
37 And David said, “The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and may the Lord be with you.”
What’s David doing? He is having a praise service. He is remembering everything the Lord has done. In this whole story, Not one time does David even acknowledge the size of Goliath. The only way we know he is 9 foot tall is the writer of 1 Samuel tells us. David doesn’t. As far as David is concerned, Goliath could be a bug. Squoosh.
Psalm 34:1 NKJV
1 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Psalm 34:3 NASB95
3 O magnify the Lord with me, And let us exalt His name together.
Psalm 69:30 NASB95
30 I will praise the name of God with song And magnify Him with thanksgiving.
Remember the Question.

Why Am I Not Seeing The Greater Things?

What I label, I Enable.
My Cancer, My Heart Attack, My relationship Problems. My Giant. Even if you have every symptom of cancer, heart disease, financial disaster, let your mouth declare the victor.
Proverbs 4:20–22 NASB95
20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Do not let them depart from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart. 22 For they are life to those who find them And health to all their body.
Proverbs 4:23–25 NASB95
23 Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life. 24 Put away from you a deceitful mouth And put devious speech far from you. 25 Let your eyes look directly ahead And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you.
John. You can’t always get what you want.
Back to David.
1 Samuel 17:38–39 NASB95
38 Then Saul clothed David with his garments and put a bronze helmet on his head, and he clothed him with armor. 39 David girded his sword over his armor and tried to walk, for he had not tested them. So David said to Saul, “I cannot go with these, for I have not tested them.” And David took them off.
Fighting a battle with man’s plan does not work. Continue.
1 Samuel 17:40 NASB95
40 He took his stick in his hand and chose for himself five smooth stones from the brook, and put them in the shepherd’s bag which he had, even in his pouch, and his sling was in his hand; and he approached the Philistine.
He studied them, looked them over, and picked 5 smooth stones from a stream,. any of which would kill Goliath.
You and I need to go to the well of living water to find the right weapon for the moment.
Mark 11:22–24 NASB95
22 And Jesus answered saying to them, “Have faith in God. 23 “Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him. 24 “Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.
Jesus is not asking us to work something up. He is telling us. I am giving you God’s faith.
Vs 23. Jesus is giving us a Heaven Truth. Read. Say to the Mountain. the Giant, the circumstance, the stack of bills, the doctor’s report....Speak. Release words. Just any word? Vs. 24
Therefore. Call For. and you shall have them.
I pray and receive the powerful Word from God. Then I turn and speak the powerful Word to the Mountain. The mountain responds to the demand of the released Word from Heaven.
Read; Therefore: Because of this. I tell you.
I am Praying (Communicating With God.) And Then,
I am Speaking to the Mountain. the giant, the fill in your blank.
and then.
1 Samuel 17:41–42 NASB95
41 Then the Philistine came on and approached David, with the shield-bearer in front of him. 42 When the Philistine looked and saw David, he disdained him; for he was but a youth, and ruddy, with a handsome appearance.
Volunteers: Kyle and Joe.
1 Samuel 17:43–44 NASB95
43 The Philistine said to David, “Am I a dog, that you come to me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. 44 The Philistine also said to David, “Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the sky and the beasts of the field.”
Goliath: Read your line.
One problem. Why are your reading Goliath’s lines. You are the Giant, you need to read the Giant’s lines. The Giant always wins.
Joe,
1 Samuel 17:45–47 NASB95
45 Then David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have taunted. 46 “This day the Lord will deliver you up into my hands, and I will strike you down and remove your head from you. And I will give the dead bodies of the army of the Philistines this day to the birds of the sky and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel, 47 and that all this assembly may know that the Lord does not deliver by sword or by spear; for the battle is the Lord’s and He will give you into our hands.”
We have heard the threats. We have released the Battle Cry.
Only one thing is needed.
1 Samuel 17:48 NASB95
48 Then it happened when the Philistine rose and came and drew near to meet David, that David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet the Philistine.
You attack your enemy and take your blood paid for Harvest Field.
How?

Mark 4:35 NASB95
35 On that day, when evening came, He said to them, “Let us go over to the other side.”
What is that?
It is a Heaven released Truth.
Contained within the Released Truth is everything needed to bring it to pass.
Mark 4:36 NASB95
36 Leaving the crowd, they took Him along with them in the boat, just as He was; and other boats were with Him.

Mark 4:37 NASB95
37 And there arose a fierce gale of wind, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much that the boat was already filling up.
Mega Whirlwind coming from all 4 directions.
These are the Facts:
It could be the Doctor’s Report. It could be the Bank Statement. It could be the Police Report.
What do you do when the facts are different from the Truth? Look to Jesus.
Mark 4:38 NASB95
38 Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”
Great, Jesus is asleep. He’s not saying anything. What comes out of their mouths next, is going to align them with either the truth, or the facts. Fade in.Their mouths align them with the facts. It keeps them in the realm of their expertise. ( explain) Jesus in his mercy.
Vs 39
Mark 4:39 NASB95
39 And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still.” And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm.
He commanded the facts to line up with the truth. It does. Then
Mark 4:40–41 NASB95
40 And He said to them, “Why are you afraid? How is it that you have no faith?” 41 They became very much afraid and said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?”
Any of the 12 could have stood up and rebuke the storm based on the Heaven released word.
Tornado. You Pray Pastor Allen...... Speak to the Storm. Command it to leave. Rebuke it with a powerful word. I wanted to pray and ask God to do something. Right?
Remember the question.
Why Am I not Seeing the Greater Things in My Life?
