Story of Lilia feeling beautiful
says that death and life are in the power of the tongue
We are constantly told in Scripture, especially the proverbs to guard our tongue, and to be “slow to speak” because the things that we say have strong impact on our hearers, whether for good or bad.
When through doubt and unbelief we cut ourselves off from the promises and things that God has said about, we are cutting ourselves off from the power of the life that is behind those words.
Going from "Has God said?" to "God has said!"

Story of Lilia feeling beautiful
Notice that one is a question, and the other is a definitive statement! If the enemy can get you to question the character of God, or His promises, or the things that He has said about you as his child, he can plant that seed of doubt he can do major damage.
The enemy has used the same tactics since the very beginning. If you will all turn withe me to , lets take a few minutes to look at how the enemy tries to plant seeds of doubt.
Passage in Genesis where the serpent questioned God
- At first reading it seems as if the serpent is simply questioning something God has said. But if you look closely you can see that there is a double purpose behind how the serpent phrased his question.
Has God said: There is the aspect of questioning God
“You shall not eat of any tree”....God didn’t say that, he said “You can eat of all the trees, but of the one that is in the middle of the garden, you can’t eat.”
Even though God hadn’t said it, the serpent is painting this picture of a stingy God that is withholding things from Adam and Eve. When Eve corrects this, he goes straight into his assault on what God has said…”you won’t really die.”
Then he goes on to paint this picture that God is withholding good things from them, and that they can be their own gods and need to be liberated from the tyranny of the God they are under.
I don’t want to spend a lot of time in this passage here, but the point I am trying to make is that great damage can be done, when the enemy can get you to question the character of God.
The thing is…Adam an Eve were created in the image and likeness of God, so in a way they were already like him.
