God’s has a Plan for you!
For thus says the Lord: After seventy years are completed at Babylon, I will visit you and perform My good word toward you, and cause you to return to this place. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive.

Introduction
Israel and Judah have been carried away as exiles in Babylon God was telling them if you don’t heed my word it will come to pass.
The prophet Jeremiah sends a Word to the Exiles in Babylon (while he is still in Jersualem)
He sends a message of comfort, God still had plans for their future!
I believe that is a God word even for today

Let us unpack these verse of scripture
Promise are often made from the Mouth and not from the heart. Which renders such promises fruitless, fragile, and frustrating.
Many of us if not all of us have been on the receiving end of a broken promise. Family, Friends, Yes even love ones have made promises that they did not keep but at the same time many of us have made promises that we did not live up to.
One poet said ,
A broken promise is a broken dream,
and things are not as they seem.
when one fails their promise to keep,

I believe we all understand what it feels like to be on the end of broken promise! Not only do we what it means to be on the end of a broken promise we also know what it means to broken. Sometimes God has to brake you, before he makes you! If God brakes you it is ok because your still in his hands.
1 God made a Promise!
When God makes you a promise, you can count on that promise! When God makes you a promise, that is when you shout Yes and Amen! God never breaks his promise! God word will forward and will not return unto you void!! When God makes a promise it will come to pass!
1) God promises judgment — yes, judgment
2) God promises discipline
3) God promises restoration
4) God promises blessing and everlasting life
2. God has a Purpose
The God who knows the plans also carries them out. In the verses that follow, Jeremiah proceeds to list all the things God will do. “I will be found by you.” “I will bring you back from captivity.” “I will gather you.” “I will bring you back to the place.” God will do the finding, the gathering, and the bringing back.
I cry out to God Most High,
to God who fulfills his purpose for me.
God has a purpose for him and God will fulfill that purpose. Both these truths combine to become that deep and wondrous theological concept we call “providence”.
It’s the outworking of his power and authority for his children in space and time, which means, in the things we schedule, the air we breathe, the moments we move. Providence is observed, experienced, tasted.
You are going to keep learning until you get it!!!
There was a man who went to the hospital and because he wasn’t feeling well. When he got there he fell out and he fainted, they put on oxygen they gave him I.V. fluids!
While he was in the emergency room for few hours he started feeling better and they were going to discharge him. He went over to the nurse. He said send in the social worker. She came in and he said I want to pay my bill before I leave. She said I’ll take you over to the cashier office sir when your ready.

God makes a promise and God knows God’s plan. This fact is stressed by the grammar of , where the “I” is repeated in Hebrew for emphasis: “I, I know the plans I have for you.” We do not know what the plans are, but God does. These are God’s plans for us, not our plans for God, or even our plans for us. God insists on his right to know and fulfill his plans, which is why the plans are so good. They are God’s plans rather than ours.
