Why Harley-Davidson?

If someone were to ask what brand motorcycle they should buy, most would recommend HD. But when they asked why, what would you say?
You wouldn’t say it because their Motorcycles cost the least?
A CVO Road Glide Ultra is listed for just under 43,000.
You also wouldn’t say they make the’ve made the most reliable motorcycles?
74 Shovelhead
What most people point to when asked why HD is that you have to look at the History of who HD is. Harley-Davidson is the longest continual running American made motorcycle and is the standard by which every cruiser motorcycle is measured. The nationwide dealerships that are available. And you can’t ignore the impact that the HD brand has had on the motorcycle community in the US and all around the world. You have to look at the big picture.
People that don’t ride have said, You need a Harley. Because Harley’s are cool. You’re and idiot.
There are plenty of people that will say praise Jesus, because their scratch off hit for $50, or they found a good sale on Bud Light.

Why Jesus?

I would not be because following Christ is the easiest religion to follow, or that is cost the least to be a disciple of His.
It isn’t the easiest to follow: Forgiveness is hard. Having to ask for forgiveness it tough. If someone sins toward you or hurts someone you care about, it sucks to have to forgive them. It feels good to hold onto that resentment. We feel that if we let that go, then they get away with it, but Christ told us to forgive as we’ve been forgiven…Its tough.
AND. It doesn’t cost the least to follow Him. It can cost friendships, time, money (Look at the Baker who got sued for standing up for his Christian principals.....It may cost you your life.
I also wouldn’t say Jesus’ followers are the most reliable.
People have done terrible things in the name of Christianity.
Like the 74 shovel head, someone could bring up the 69 Nelson.
If you want to understand who Jesus was and is and will be, you have to look at the big picture.
When you look at Jesus the man, his ministry only lasted about 3 and 1/2 years. There was not significant accomplishments before the age of 30. He never owned any property, he didn’t travel outside the region where he lived. He never held a public office.
But when you look at the big picture of Jesus have to wrap your mind around the fact that even from a secular perspective, He continues to be the most influential figure in Human History. We keep track of time based on his life and death. B.C., A.D. In an effort to drive out Christ from academia there is a push to use B.C.E and C.E. but 2017 A.D. and 2017 C.E. are the same year. From the worlds standpoint, Jesus is the standard of time.
There are people that don’t ride that know I ride a Victory: Some have said, “You need to get a Harley.” “Harley’s are Cool.” My first thought is , You’re and idiot.
Then when you look at the scriptures, you get more of perspective of who he is.
John 1:1–5 NASB95
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
John 1:14 NASB95
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
So in order to understand Jesus, who is God, you have to start to understand God.
So lets go back to the beginning.

In the Beginning

The Big Bang theory is an effort to explain what happened at the very beginning of our universe. Discoveries in astronomy and physics have shown beyond a reasonable doubt that our universe did in fact have a beginning. Prior to that moment there was nothing; during and after that moment there was something: our universe. The big bang theory is an effort to explain what happened during and after that moment.
Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity. Space Time and matter are all interdependent. You can’t have space with out time, etc.
Genesis 1:1 NASB95
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Robert Jastrow quotes (showing 1-8 of 8)

“For the scientist who has lived by his faith in the power of reason, the story ends like a bad dream. He has scaled the mountains of ignorance, he is about to conquer the highest peak; as he pulls himself over the final rock, he is greeted by a band of theologians who have been sitting there for centuries.” ― Robert Jastrow, God and the Astronomers

Genesis 1:27–28 NASB95
God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them; and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Genesis 1:
Genesis 1:16–17 NASB95
God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night; He made the stars also. God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,
Genesis 1:
Genesis 1:17–19 NASB95
God placed them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth, and to govern the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God saw that it was good. There was evening and there was morning, a fourth day.
Genesis 1:17-
Genesis
Genesis 3:17–19 NASB95
Then to Adam He said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you will eat of it All the days of your life. “Both thorns and thistles it shall grow for you; And you will eat the plants of the field; By the sweat of your face You will eat bread, Till you return to the ground, Because from it you were taken; For you are dust, And to dust you shall return.”
That’s a problem. God didn’t create us to die. Death was not part of his plan.
John 1:6–13 NASB95
There came a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to testify about the Light, so that all might believe through him. He was not the Light, but he came to testify about the Light. There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 1:
Romans 5:19 NASB95
For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.
