Christmas reminds me that God keeps His promises
Christmas reminds me that God keeps His promises
The birth of Christ was not an event which occurred by accident. Jesus’ birth was planned by God. The prophets of old predicted and proclaimed of this spectacular moment in time.
God promised Christ would be born and God kept the promise
Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Application: Praise God for His integrity. God is faithful and keeps His promises

Joseph and Mary
- there was nothing special about them, but they were willing and available
- their situation wasn’t the ideal situation but it was God’s plan and they were a part of it
God used them to do something extraordinary

Transition: When God used Joseph he wasn’t looking for a superstar. He was looking for a willing, and available servant.
Application: be willing and available for God to use you

He did not have the issues of Abraham
He didn’t act like Jacob
was not like Moses
