This year marked the 10th anniversary of a tragedy that shapes our family to this day. I not going to go into details but this year I was reminded of this moment in my life when I had no clue how I could face the next week – let alone the next year…

I used to think this proverb was instructing me to basically turn my brain off – to not bother to try and understand but to blindly… follow my heart or my feelings about how God was leading me…

and as I did this if I kept praying and looking to God he would make my life comfortable and remove my troubles….It was a turning point in my life - and this little proverb really is wisdom for us as we face another year full of challenges and many unknowns…
