Glory to God in the highest was proclaimed

Luke 2:14 NASB95
14 “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.”
The heavenly host proclaimed the glory of God, and the glory to God. Do we give the glory to go on earth, share the peace of God that we have through Christ Jesus with others?
God has shown His glory
Deuteronomy 5:24 NASB95
24 “You said, ‘Behold, the Lord our God has shown us His glory and His greatness, and we have heard His voice from the midst of the fire; we have seen today that God speaks with man, yet he lives.
He there had shown it in the midst of the fire, but has He not shown it in all His creation? Has He made Himself known?
Romans 1:20 NASB95
20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

We are told whatever we do, do it for the glory of God.
1 Corinthians 10:31 NASB95
31 Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

2 Peter 1:3–4 NASB95
3 seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. 4 For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust.
Do we partake in God’s divine nature? We should when we realize what we have in Him through Jesus.
He is worthy to receive all glory
Revelation 4:11 NASB95
11 “Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.”
REv
Worthy for He is the creator of all things
Colossians 1:16 NASB95
16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him.
Colossians 1:17 NASB95
17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.
This is the God the angel proclaimed in which we gather to worship.
But I want you to think about this for a minute. He has filled the earth with His glory.
Isaiah 6:3 NASB95
3 And one called out to another and said, “Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts, The whole earth is full of His glory.”
Filled it with all His creation from the waters He separated, to the stars He place to the seeding trees and the beasts on the land and in the seas. He created man in His glory, in His image to bring Him glory, honor and praise.
No doubt one of the central theme’s of the Bible is glory to God. It is not an abstract concept but should an awe inspiring concept.
Isaiah was in awe of what He saw in heaven
Isa6:1-2
Isaiah 6:1–2 NASB95
1 In the year of King Uzziah’s death I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, lofty and exalted, with the train of His robe filling the temple. 2 Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings: with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.
The seraphim looked and say the glory on the earth
They saw the glory of God expressed in all the beautiful things He made, we should take time to see the glory of God in His creation too.
God created us in His image, but do we portray the image of God? Do we show the glory of God in us and through us?
What you do, you bring glory to God, be it encouraging a friend, that brings glory to God. By writing a note to someone, that brings glory to God. By listening and having compassion that brings glory to God. By sharing God’s Word you may bring people to God to know God and be known by God.
May we reflect the glory of God in the highest in all we do and all we say! May wet truly know the earth is filled with His glory and that glory is you when you have Him! So bring Him glory today from right where you are!
