God’s people are to Maintain unity. People seeking to keep up unity is like working out. Many have a New Year’s resolution to work out more and get into shape. This is the time health club memberships go up. With the promise of people to exercise more.
Exercise involves one to endure the pain and discomfort that comes. You work out to the moment of being tired and worn out just to stop and think you can’t make it. Only to forget all that and do it again. You rotate days to work on legs, arms, then cardio to give each part time to recover and bear the stress they are going through. This is devotion to working out is to be seen demonstrated in seeking U-N-I-T-Y.

1. God Has Called You To Unity

Live out your calling
God the great supreme creator of all has called you.

2 Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.

God has called you from life of sin to life of holiness.

Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.

Remember what your calling involves.
Called by the Hope of our salvation.
This great hope was revealed through Son of God!

Know your calling demands submission.

Live your life to the fullest potential. You need to live worthy of your calling. In other word you need to behave in a suitable manner as God has given you. Do not act a fool.
Paul is referring here to his prayer for them to walk in the hope of their calling in Christ Jesus. They are to live out this great hope. This hope is the salvation of Jesus Christ by faith through grace. They are to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit seeking life. They are not longer living in the sinful way of life before Christ. This is now the the Year of the Lord. The BC, before Christ, days are behind and the life with Christ is before us until eternity.
Live to serve the Lord God.
Live with the conduce that reflects the office you hold.
Live to show all that Christ is Lord of your life.

Unity implies forgiveness for all involved.

Ephesians 4:2 NLT
Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.
Keeping unity calls you to make allowance for others.
This tolerance, longsuffering, bearing is all done in love.
Love is also demonstrated through tolerance.
When you are making allowance for others is forgiveness.
You forgive people and tolerate their mess.
You know your friend will be late picking you up more times than not and you love them anyway and tolerate their tardiness through love.
Bearing someone is the attitude to endure their messy life with the love and forgiveness.
To Forgive is to let go.
To tolerate is to put up with the irritation.
Walk worthy of your calling.
Walk worthy of your calling.
Unity is demonstrated in Humility.
How do you live a life worthy?

Purpose keep the unity of the Spirit.
This involves seeking peace.
God is the God of peace and the Prince of Peace.

A. Serving with all humility for the glory of God!

Take time to reflect your work in keeping unity.
Ask yourself some questions, “is what I am doing giving glory to God?”
Is what I said for the building up of the church or for me?
Is this issue I have a personal issue or am I prayerfully seeking God’s will?
We are called to love one anther out of reverence of Christ.
What ever we do we should do it for the glory of God.
