Acts 1:1 ESV
In the first book, O Theophilus, I have dealt with all that Jesus began to do and teach,

I. THEY WERE PASSIONATE ABOUT THAT PICTURE

WHAT DOES A CHURCH LOOK LIKE WHEN IT LIVES PASSIONATELY FOR JESUS?

DEVOTED: Its basic meaning is “to continue in it,” “to stay at it,”

1. They devoted themselves to the WORD (2:42)

2. They devoted themselves to the LORD’S SUPPER (2:42)

3. They devoted themselves to PRAYER (2:42)

4. They devoted themselves to ONE-ANOTHER (2:44-45)

5. They devoted themselves to WORSHIP (2:42)

B. THEY SPEAK PASSIONATELY FOR AND ABOUT JESUS

II. THEY WERE INSIGNIFICANT BECAUSE OF THAT PICTURE
