41. THE CHRISTIAN AND JESUS

I. JESUS OUR SAVIOURSalvation

A. The plan of salvation—, : Salvation was first planned by God in . The Messiah would come and pay the price for our salvation.

B. The person of salvation—. There is only one way. There is another way that seems right, but its end is death ().

C. The pardon of salvation—. The blood of Christ cleanses man from all sin. Man must confess his sin ().

D. The power of salvation—. A new person in the Lord. Made free from all sin (, ).

E. The promise of salvation—. It is not necessary to face the last judgment. We will go to be with the Lord forever.

II. JESUS OUR LORDRespect

A. Trials—. We must respect Him when we have trials. He loves us and must correct us.

B. Troubles—. God uses everything in our lives for His glory. Trust Him. He knows all, from the beginning to the end, and works everything out for His glory.

C. Testing—. Testings will refine us as gold! They are for a purpose. They are for a reason.

D. Temptation—. God does not tempt us; He uses the temptation for His glory.

III. JESUS OUR MASTERObedience

A. Obey His Word

1. Success—. His Word will bring success.

2. Security—. Hide His Word in your heart.

3. Stedfast—. His Word brings faith.

B. Obey His Will

1. Seeking His will—.

2. Scripture and His will—.

3. Satisfaction and His will—.

C. Obey His way

1. Happy way—. Joy in knowing Him.

2. Hard way—. Narrow way.

3. Heavenly way—. Home in heaven.

IV. JESUS OUR KINGWorship

Note the words of Jesus in concerning how we worship Him.

A. Worship Him in spirit. We must do this in a twofold way: worship in prayer and worship in praise.

B. Worship in truth. Jesus is the truth (). Those who are in the truth hear God’s voice ().
