A frantic search!
Jesus naturally went where His Father was!
Jesus grew (progressed)

Jesus Matured Mentally

How did Jesus grow in wisdom, since he is wisdom? He grew in wisdom in his humanity.
Wisdom is knowledge in right relationship with God and His ways.
(ESV) 9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser; teach a righteous man, and he will increase in learning. 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.

Jesus was wise at a young age, what do you
Wisdom from above transforms us.
(ESV) 15 This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. 17 But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. 18 And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Are you growing in wisdom? What sources do you turn to for wisdom? In the coming year, purpose to seek after God’s wisdom in your life.

Jesus Matured Physically

Not just physical growth, although it definitely includes that idea.
It indicates a maturity in relationship to his age.
(ESV) 2 If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know.
2 If anyone imagines that he knows something, he does not yet know as he ought to know.
It knows the proper time and place to speak and act.
Notice that Jesus went home and was subject to his earthly parents.
Running plumbing before the unit was set at EMTC.

Jesus Matured Spiritually

He grew in relationship with the Father.
The angels announced his birth.
The Father announced his ministry.
We are called to grow in grace
(ESV) 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

The Christian life is a life of continually growing in Christ. (Don’t get discouraged if you fail, realize that you are still growing).
(ESV) 5 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, 6 and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, 7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. 8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

He grew in relationship with other people.
