WHAT IS PRAYER?
Why is it so important to learn the original languages of the Old and New Testaments?
-Because it gives us a deeper understanding of the scriptures
Prayer is communication with GOD, bringing our needs to Him, thanking him for all He has done and provided for us, asking for forgiveness of our sins.
-It helps us understand the context of the scriptures
Types of Prayer
Hebrew is different.
Unlike English it is read and written from right to left.
The Hebrew alphabet has twenty-two letters all of which are consonants.
Vowels consist of dots and dashes below and beside the consonants.
Hebrew does not have capital letters.
Five Hebrew letters have a different form when they appear at the end of the word.
So you need to remember that Hebrew is different from English.
But that doesn’t mean it’s harder; in fact it’s much simpler in many ways, as we will see.
