A Glorious Church...
A Glorious Church...
The Promise and Prophecy of
Matthew 16:16-18
Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.
And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
c
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Acts
Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.
And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

Matt 2
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice, that the LORD may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.”
And when he had found him, he brought him to Antioch. So it was that for a whole year they assembled with the church and taught a great many people. And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.
You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
The Church met…upper room, temple, houses of members, synagogue daily each “Lord’s Day” and had regular hours of daily prayer..
You shall teach them to your children, speaking of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
Body of Christ : Christ is the head and we are His Body
We will not hide them from their children, Telling to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, And His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.
Organism not organization: We are connected to Christ and each other by our relationship to one another.
Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.
Church is a temple, a Building, a Habitation, A dwelling for His Spirit
and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.

Churches are the Lampstands Jesus gave the picture to the disciples in
(NKJV)
(NKJV)
14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
We do not hid the truth but lift it up so all can see; where it can give light to everyone.
What Would A Glorious Church Look Like or Be?
Harmonious We don’t need to argue. Jesus doesn’t need a bunch of lawyers; Jesus needs a bunch of neighbors.
Loving
Peaceful
Purposed- I am on a mission from God! Anointed, Empowered and on a mission from God

VISION OF CHURCH
Are we just building a crowd or are we building a Church?
When we are called upon to make sacrifices....
You know whether you are building a a church or just a crowd.
What is your level of Commitment. Are you willing to make room for the things God has for you by making room in your schedule?
Jesus does not need your help. Jesus wants your Heart!
Angels who care for each local Church
The Face of the Glorious Christ like the sun- the source and appearance of all brilliance
Bondservants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh, not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but in sincerity of heart, fearing God.
Let as many bondservants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and His doctrine may not be blasphemed.
Exhort bondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back,
Servants, be submissive to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the harsh.
f
And his affections are greater for you as he remembers the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling you received him.
g
I know also, my God, that You test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things; and now with joy I have seen Your people, who are present here to offer willingly to You.
