1. The Problem of Unrepentant Sin

He Enjoyed Hearing John & Respected Him
Unbelief will cause you to:
Attempt to discredit the sources of truth in your life
Continue to excuse the sins in your life
Hold hostage the truth in order to quiet it
Ultimately choose to silence it completely

2. The Problem of Unrepentant Sin

He Enjoyed Hearing John & Respected Him
He felt conviction when He was confronted about His sin
He loved His sin, so He chose those who contributed and encouraged sin over those who confronted him about it.
Unrepentant Sin will:
Deafen Your Ears from Hearing Truth
Numb Your Senses from feeling Conviction- (Conscience vs. Holy Spirit Conviction)
Remove your ability to feel Remorse
Lead you to eliminating what you at one time, respected and cared for
Enslave you to your own desires (When Herod finally saw Jesus at the trial, Jesus wouldn’t even speak to him, and all Herod wanted from Jesus was to see signs and miracles…)

2. The Progression of Unbelief

He Enjoyed Hearing John & Respected Him
Unbelief will cause you to:
Attempt to discredit the sources of truth in your life
Continue to excuse the sins in your life
Hold hostage the truth in order to quiet it
Ultimately choose to silence it completely

3. The Pressing Need today for Repentance & Faith

We must continue to preach the truth of God’s Word
We must continue to express faith in God’s Word by living it out
We must meet the confrontation of truth today with humility and repentance.
We must persevere in living holy & Just lives so others will hear the truth
