We are challenged in 2 Peter 1:5-7 to add virtue to our faith. Virtue is defined as "work of great merit (moral excellence, quality)" or "The act of being pure (purity, or morality)". Sounds kind of foreign to our flesh doesn't it?
That is why Peter tells us to add it to our foundation of faith.
Faith enables the divine aspect of our lives (the Holy Spirit brings life to our dead spirits). True godly virtue would be unattainable without saving faith. I hope we are challenged today to understand the path to virtue.
