You Have A Purpose

a reason, a job, a calling, a motivation
Romans 8:30 KJV 1900
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
what is your calling/purpose, reason…?
Luke 2:41–52 KJV 1900
Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover. And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast. And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it. But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day’s journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance. And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him. And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business? And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them. And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart. And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
Luke 2:39 KJV 1900
And when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth.
Luke 2:49
Luke 2:49 KJV 1900
And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?
line between commitment.
Many are content to just do the religion and go home, i am called to remain, always be about God’s business. a seasonal faith.
many do not understand like mary and joseph, many do not understand this commitment and devotion.
My life is committed to the things of god.
What is God’s business?
What things has God qualified and called us to do? What as His dear children, royal priests, holy nation and perculier people is our Heavenly fathers expectation of our involvement in His eternal and wonderful plans?

1: The Business of Redemption

Jesus is in the business of redemption - saving souls.
John 10:10 KJV 1900
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Lets make a thing clear - Jesus saves not you. Its not your job to save anyone.
BUT
Romans 10:14 KJV 1900
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
It is every Christians calling to be a light to those in darkness.
Matthew 10:8 KJV 1900
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
No more is your involvement in the redemption business made more clear than in
Matthew 28:16–20 KJV 1900
Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

The Business of Holiness.

We cannot make ourselves Holy - only Christ can do that.
But having been made holy in position we must peruse holiness in practice.

Andrew Murrey
which is exactly what scripture says:
2 Timothy 2:21 KJV 1900
If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.
If we are to do the work God we must live in a manner that is worthy of the masters use.
Titus 2:11–13 KJV 1900
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
