Spiritual Temperaments: Where do you fit??

Traditionalist: Meeting God through ritual and symbol. Tend to lead structured and disciplined lives...They meet God in historical practices and find unstructured, solitary worship difficult.

Sensate: Meeting God with the senses. They seek to be overwhelmed by sights, sounds, and smells. They experience God in liturgy, art, music, etc...

Activist: Meeting God through confrontation. Meet God on the battlefield, where they fight evil and share beliefs. They are generally extroverted and find confrontation spiritually fulfilling.

Caregiver: Meeting God by loving others. They build a relationship with God by serving others. Their compassion and open hearts often brings them to the poor and needy, where they experience a fuller knowledge of God.

Naturalist: Meeting God outdoors. They would rather worship by a river than in a bldg. They learn more about God by watching an ant than listening to a sermon.

Intellectuals: Meeting God with the mind. They meet God through study. They long to understand more than feel.

Enthusiast: Meeting God through celebration. As emotional people, they want to be excited, to dance, to sing, to shout, etc.

Contemplative: Meeting God through adoration. Seek a deep love relationship w/ God. Most content if sitting at the feet of God.

Ascetics: Meeting God in solitude and simplicity. They long for solitude, a place for quiet prayer. They are drawn to introspection and simplicity.
