Segue into message - why have these people make these presentations? So that you see that there are other parts to the body other than just what we do here on Sundays. And these parts are vital to your continued growth and development.

Scripture for series:
For those who live according to the flesh have their outlook shaped by the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit have their outlook shaped by the things of the Spirit. For the outlook of the flesh is death, but the outlook of the Spirit is life and peace,
Can there be “death” even while being in the body? ABSOLUTELY! If my outlook on the body is shaped by the flesh, then there will be death.
If I approach life in the body of Christ from a fleshly point of view I will not grow, I will not prosper, I will not flourish. I will go from that awesome, wonderful moment of new birth to a slow and sure death. My salvation will bring no joy, my life will have no real meaning and, ultimately, my salvation will be challenged. THAT’s the teaching of the word of God.
Let me “splain” it to you:
Salvation begins a new life
We’re like babies - born again - new start - clean slate
children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
So at salvation we are born into the body of Christ - the church. THAT’S our starting point. But where do we go from there?
Peter tells us:
Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,
So we need nourishment - SPIRITUAL nourishment - PURE spiritual nourshiment - so we can GROW UP in our salvation.
What does Peter mean?
A baby is born with new life. He or she is vital, alive, has laughs, smiles, giggles and joy built in. Also has crying, frowns, whining and sadness built in. If you don't feed the baby food - the bad things will take over and prevail. And if you don't feed it long enough, death will most certainly come. On the other hand, if you feed and nurture the baby with good food, love, attention and discipline, the good things will grow and LIFE will come.
So - you’re born into a new family
Its THAT family that is responsible for feeding and caring for you
And Peter says it is YOUR responsibility to go after PURE SPIRITUAL nourishment - you have to have a SPIRITUAL OUTLOOK on living in this family
Our best example of what the family should look like:
Every day they met together in the temple courtyard. In their homes they broke bread and ate together. Their hearts were glad and honest and true. They praised God. They were respected by all the people. Every day the Lord added to their group those who were being saved.

It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lives in helping others.
