Observe

We are introduced to Cornelius, a centurion
He sees a vision - God sees his worship and instructs him to send for Peter in Joppa
Cornelius obeys the vision and sends his men to Peter

Interpret

Caesarea - coastal city on the Mediterranean, about 40 miles North of Joppa
Centurion - military commander of at least 1000 men
Ninth hour of the day - 3PM
Gentile - first non-Jewish person

Apply

Example of Cornelius - devout man feared God w/ all of his household - generosity and prayer
- Gospel is for all, including us!
