Pursuing Your Destiny Takes Work

Every once in a while I pick up the guitar. I say out loud to someone, I’m going to learn to play. So I will find some way to tune a guitar rich seems very tedious. So once I get someone else to do that for me I get to learn a chord .. then quickly come the “you pressing to hard, you pressing in the wrong place, you’re not pressing hard enough.” So then comes the next part. This is too hard, I quit.

Between you and your destiny is Strongholds.

Galatians 2:16 NIV
know that a person is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have put our faith in Christ Jesus that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law, because by the works of the law no one will be justified.
Gal
Obedience

Deuteronomy 30:15–16 NIV
See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death and destruction. For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.
John 14:15 NIV

Conclusion

When we look at this story in the Bible it’s possible to get many meaning out of it. But here is what is really going on for you and me.
God has given us great promises - both as individuals and as a body
We are to be strong and courageous when pursuing that promise
God will prove himself
we need to be obedient -even when it’s strange.
we need to have faith
God will fulfill His promise to us.
