Therefore, the following warnings might be suggested:
You have a right to know that no man, whether boyfriend or husband, may legitimately force you to abort a baby for which he does not wish to be responsible.
You have the right to know that, if you decide on your own to have an abortion, you may experience unexpected moral guilt, either immediately or at some future time. That the body over which you have control is also associated with a conscience which responds to a higher moral standard over which you have no control.
You have the right to know that a large number of women having abortions at early ages have lived to regret their decision, whether morally or psychologically, or sometimes even in the inability to have children in the future.
You have the right to know that, if for any reason you do not feel that you can raise your baby with the love you would like to give it, there are many couples who would be thrilled to adopt the baby for themselves and to give your son or daughter the kind of life you would want your child to have. That if you do choose adoption, you may also have later feelings of guilt and regret, but typically on a scale far less than if you choose abortion.
