Introduction:
Those who look for trouble in the Bible think they have it here. It seems to be a contradiction with . A closer look, however, shows that it is not a contradiction at all.

I. A Powerful Statement

1. Light reveals darkness

2. Light reveals the cause of darkness

II. Two Pointed Similarities ()

1. Obvious conduct

2. Obvious application

Conclusion:
We are, by our very union with Christ, the light of the world. As light, we are to shine in the world around us. If you do not shine, you are not fulfilling your function; worse than that, you are detracting.
