Is there anyone who came to play church today?
Getting past offense so you can go on the offense and take back what the enemy has sought to steal from you. God has greatness in you He can’t wait to see be released upon the earth.
The word offense comes from the Greek word skandalon. It mean stumbling block. It is the block in a bear trap. It’s what satan uses to gain an advantage on ignorant believers to detour and damage their destiny.
OFFENSE IS GOING TO COME
1. We don’t have to entertain them.
Luke 17:1 KJV 1900
Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!
Matthew 24:10–12 KJV 1900
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.
Matthew 24:10-1
Matthew 24:10–11 KJV 1900
And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.
Matthew 24:12–13 KJV 1900
And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
WHOSE RESPONSIBILITY IS IT TO GO TO AN OFFENDED BROTHER?
1.
Matthew 18:15–17 KJV 1900
Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.
2.
2.
Matthew 5:23–24 KJV 1900
Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
Matthew 5:21–24 KJV 1900
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
How To Recognize An Offended Personality?
They are OFF - ENDED (Off a lot/Ended many relationship)

WHY SHOULD I GO TO MY BROTHER?

Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
2. - Gain your brother back.

HOW DO WE BECOME UNOFFENDABLE?
1. RECOGNIZE THE REAL ENEMY
Ephesians 6:12 KJV 1900
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
1. He steals
2. He traps
3. He torments
2. REMOVE THE BUTTON, HOOK, TRIGGER, OR OPEN DOOR IN YOU
1. Spirits of offense and rejection can only work through these things
James 1:13–15 KJV 1900
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
3. CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE -
LOVE BELIEVES THE BEST UNTIL PROVEN WRONG
OVERCOME SELFCENTEREDNESS
SEE THE BIG PICTURE (Example with Grandfather - Gift of Forgiveness chapter 2)
**Listen to others you can trust when you can’t trust yourself

HURT PEOPLE ARE HURT BY PEOPLE.
HURT PEOPLE HAVE BEEN HURT BY PEOPLE.
***There is often a reason for the way people behave.
