The Kingdom Of God- Part 3

Kidz World - Children's Church
Mark 1:14–15 NKJV
14 Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”
Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith!
Introduction:
Last week we set the foundation for Taking The Kingdom
Matthew 11:12 NKJV
12 And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
Matthew 11:12 NLT
12 And from the time John the Baptist began preaching until now, the Kingdom of Heaven has been forcefully advancing, and violent people are attacking it.
Matthew 11:12 AMP
12 And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize—a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion].
John The Baptist taught about taking the Kingdom
A person must storm the kingdom to enter it. He must have the spirit of a soldier who storms a city We cannot be half-hearted, lacking spirit or energy.
We cannot be complacent, indulgent, and at ease.
We cannot expect to just slip into heaven.
There has to be a real interest and desire, a vigorous stirring and struggle, a diligent seeking after God to enter heaven:
Luke 16:16 NKJV
16 “The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it.
2 Timothy 2:3–4 AMP
3 Take [with me] your share of the hardships and suffering [which you are called to endure] as a good (first-class) soldier of Christ Jesus. 4 No soldier when in service gets entangled in the enterprises of [civilian] life; his aim is to satisfy and please the one who enlisted him.
To enter the Kingdom Of God
Will require you to:
Deny yourself and Change Your Behaviors
Turn From Sin to God (repent)
Submit your desires to God’s will
Romans 12:2 NKJV
2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Romans 12:2 NLT
2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
The Kingdom of Darkness imitates the Kingdom Of God
His kingdom and systems imitate God’s. The kingdom of darkness is not the real thing; it’s a fake, a counterfeit.
God’s kingdom comes with demonstration of supernatural power, The Kingdom of Darkness comes with counterfeit signs and wonders.
2 Thessalonians 2:9–10 NCV
9 The Man of Evil will come by the power of Satan. He will have great power, and he will do many different false miracles, signs, and wonders. 10 He will use every kind of evil to trick those who are lost. They will die, because they refused to love the truth. (If they loved the truth, they would be saved.)
Revelation 12:9 NKJV
9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Overcoming Deception
Galatians 5:25 NKJV
25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
John 14:26 NLT
26 But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.
John 15:26 AMP
26 But when the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, Strengthener, Standby) comes, Whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of Truth Who comes (proceeds) from the Father, He [Himself] will testify regarding Me.
No Weapon
Isaiah 54:17 NKJV
17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord.
Remember: a tongue that rises against you in judgement is a work of the flesh.
Cut off any tongue that try’s to condemn you by declaring the truth of God’s Word.
David & Goliath
1 Samuel 17:38–49 NLT
38 Then Saul gave David his own armor—a bronze helmet and a coat of mail. 39 David put it on, strapped the sword over it, and took a step or two to see what it was like, for he had never worn such things before. “I can’t go in these,” he protested to Saul. “I’m not used to them.” So David took them off again. 40 He picked up five smooth stones from a stream and put them into his shepherd’s bag. Then, armed only with his shepherd’s staff and sling, he started across the valley to fight the Philistine. 41 Goliath walked out toward David with his shield bearer ahead of him, 42 sneering in contempt at this ruddy-faced boy. 43 “Am I a dog,” he roared at David, “that you come at me with a stick?” And he cursed David by the names of his gods. 44 “Come over here, and I’ll give your flesh to the birds and wild animals!” Goliath yelled. 45 David replied to the Philistine, “You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. 46 Today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel! 47 And everyone assembled here will know that the Lord rescues his people, but not with sword and spear. This is the Lord’s battle, and he will give you to us!” 48 As Goliath moved closer to attack, David quickly ran out to meet him. 49 Reaching into his shepherd’s bag and taking out a stone, he hurled it with his sling and hit the Philistine in the forehead. The stone sank in, and Goliath stumbled and fell face down on the ground.
When we call Jesus’ name, every demon trembles. When we call Jesus’ name, every angel stands at attention. We can cut off the curse in Jesus’ name and by declaring His Word.
Called Into Kingdom Living
Luke 18:29–30 NLT
29 “Yes,” Jesus replied, “and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the Kingdom of God, 30 will be repaid many times over in this life, and will have eternal life in the world to come.”
We must live independent of the world’s system and live the kingdom life.
Learn to Look at God as your source for everything:
How?
John 3:1–3 NLT
1 There was a man named Nicodemus, a Jewish religious leader who was a Pharisee. 2 After dark one evening, he came to speak with Jesus. “Rabbi,” he said, “we all know that God has sent you to teach us. Your miraculous signs are evidence that God is with you.” 3 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.”
The kingdom of God is a mystery because we can’t see it with our physical eyes.
To flesh and blood, it’s an unseen kingdom.
But to those of us who are born again and walking in the Spirit and not the flesh, it is not only real; it is extremely effective, powerful, and extravagant. Everything we need is in the kingdom of God.
1 Corinthians 2:12–14 NLT
12 And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us. 13 When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths. 14 But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.
The things that we do and say are foolish to the natural part of us and to natural people. When we live from the spirit, our way of thinking and acting will seem strange to the world—and strange to us for a while.
That’s because we are getting used to the fact that We are in the world but not of it.
We come into the kingdom of God with a world-programmed mind.
Then the first time God asks us to do something that has some vision, we tend to say, “I can’t do that.”
We don’t even know what we can do, but if we dig into the Word we’ll find out!
We have to take the kingdom by force:
We have to dominate our flesh by our spirit by trusting in God’s Word more than our own thinking.
Abraham Had Faith
Abraham asked God for a child - In his old age
God said look up to the sky and what do you see?
Abraham said “Stars”
Genesis 22:17 NCV
17 I will surely bless you and give you many descendants. They will be as many as the stars in the sky and the sand on the seashore, and they will capture the cities of their enemies.
