In verses 1-3, we see that Melchizedek is the King-Priest that he is a type of Christ in his character and in his qualifications. Now it is important to note that the son of God is not made like him, but Melchizedek is made like the Son of God. Now verses 4-10 will focus in on the superiority of Melchizedek we will see first how he is greater than Abraham and how Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek, and he blessed Abraham. Then we see that he is greater than the Levitical priest and the system because they were mortal and Melchizedek lives and secondly because Levi who received tithes actually paid tithes to Melchizedek through Abraham. So let's dive into this passage
