Introduction:
The magnificence of an orchestra.
There are so many different kinds of players.
All with different gifting and abilities.
All excellent in their field.
Playing together to produce a beautiful Symphony.
I see the church in the same way.
We have all these ministries that are to come together and produce something amazing.
All with God-gifted talents and abilities.
All learning to work together to produce a Symphony composed by the Lord himself.
Today we are going to talk about Spiritual gifts.
There are all types of spiritual gifts in the Bible.
God has gifted people to do everything for carpentry and woodworking to healing the sick.
So my intention in the next 35 minutes I have is not to try and explain each on of the gifts but to get you to understand how the function together to accomplish the work of God.
I want to begin a conversation between you and the Lord in which you ask the question, “What part do I play?”
Are you in the brass section or are you the harp lady.
Both are just as important as the other, one is just more flashy than the other.
As we look at today we see that Paul has just cleared off a spot to talk about spiritual gifts for the next three chapters.
This morning I am going to start somewhat at the bottom of the chapter and we will work our way back up.

When a band member plays a wrong note.
The beauty is when all are playing in harmony.

God has so placed us together not to all play the same note but to play in harmony of one another.

God has gifted the body with Spiritual abilities to perform His masterpiece.
A Spiritual gift is God giving a little piece of Himself so that you can accomplish His will.

Gifts of Instruction & Care through the Spirit: “The Teachers.”
1 Cor 12:8
The gifts of the Spirit are temporary gifts that are given as the body needs them.
These gifts are for the common good of the entire body not any one individual.
We are an orchestra not a bunch of soloist.
Sometimes we play different parts as needed.
God has assembled his orchestra and composed his masterpiece to proclaim the name of Jesus and perform his Symphony of love.
The Holy Spirit is the mouthpiece that reveals the hart.

denying the deity of Christ
Denying that Christ has come in the flesh.
The spirit of Christ
Jesus is God.
Jesus is Lord.

Romans 10:
God’s orchestra plays His love song and reveals a more excellent way.

Closing Thought:
What part do you play?
What song do you sing?
