Complaint: I need something but I don’t have it!
Lie: You need something God isn’t giving you.
Danger: You will look for something God knows isn’t in your best interest.
Truth: God is working all things for you good. (Trust His words)
Danger: We may decide God and what He has provided is not enough and then search for things He would not want for us.
Answer: God's words are enough
Wilderness: Lack of bread
Possible results: Indulgence, lust, gluttony, greed
Even if I don’t get what I want, I will trust Him.
Gospel answer:
Gospel answer: You are God’s beloved child and all things work together for your good. (Trust His words)
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.”
Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me.
