why do we do a super bowl Sunday ?

1. this is a way to “go” therefore

Matthew 28:19–20 (NKJV) 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

I recieved a phone call to this affect.

we are using a cultural reality to offer Christian fellowship.

2. fellowship is an important part of the Christian life.

Acts 2:46–47 (NKJV) 46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

maybe it was through Christian fellowship that people truly see Jesus.

sometimes we are seen through the narrow lens of a few. the need to see true joy.
