Text:

Luke 8:1–3 NKJV
Now it came to pass, afterward, that He went through every city and village, preaching and bringing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God. And the twelve were with Him, and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities—Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who provided for Him from their substance.
Luke 8:1-3

BOTTOM LINE:

Women of Bible Times
Women Who Suffered
Women Who Followed Jesus

BOTTOM LINE:

Jesus serve women with His life during the 1st century so that you might serve Him in the 21 century.

INTRODUCTION:

Ladies of Faith CBC and visiting, be of good courage, the LORD has not forgotten you in all that you do and contribute to His Ministry. The LORD is still serving you even to this day with His life, He see your toiling, your struggling and throughout the years gone by, and your service in the body to the building of the Kingdom of God.
At times you my fell disparaged and that God may be dosing while your nickels are blood red from knocking on His door that sets on the sides of the North; however, don't dis pare, he heard you the first knock.
You must note that He speaks to you first many times before He speaks to men.
Please take note of the ladies who followed Him from the beginning of the His ministry during the first century in how He served them by delivering them and then dying for them in their presence. Take note that Jesus was not hesitant, reluctant, selective, nor resistant, He served them in spite of who they were! and so these women realized that is would not be improper to serve Him with their lives. Lest look and see.

Jesus Ministered in Every City

Jesus signals that His life represents God’s reign being established in a new way.

Vs 1. Jesus signals that HIs life represents God’s reign being established in a new way as He go throughout every city preaching the good new. “What was they good news?
Matt 3:2
Matthew 3:2 NKJV
and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!”
Mark 1:15 HCSB
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe in the good news!”
Mark 1:15
Please note, In this context, the Greek word used here, kairos, indicates a period of time predetermined by God. Also “kingdom” The Greek word used here, basileia, can denote a geographical territory or the reign of a particular monarch. The kingdom of God refers to God’s reign over all of creation and humanity. The kingdom comes (vv. 15; 9:1; compare 15:43), it grows like a seed (4:26, 30), and people can enter it, but only by responding to God’s will (9:47; 10:15, 23–25; 12:34).
Vs2a. Jesus’ disciples were with Him as well, these men are those who were called out (Matt 3:18)
Vs2. Jesus was followed by certain women, these women were not considered apostles, however, they were considered disciples of Christ (learners & followers) a cry difference from apostleship. “Joe B and Green declares, “” Rather, Luke’s summary identifies the twelve and these women as companions and witnesses of Jesus’ ministry (cf. 23:49; ); they are being prepared for involvement in mission (cf. 9:1–6; 10:1–11), but they are not yet active agents of God’s mission at this stage of the narrative.”
Thought: Women seem to be more observant , they seem to be able to connect with Jesus very quickly!
