1. A DEEP UNITY OF FELLOWSHIP (VS. 32-37)

A- United in heart and mind (καρδία καὶ ψυχὴ μία). (vs. 32)
There was a singular focus for the whole church.
How can all of the members share a singular heart and mind?

B- Selfless surrender to the Lordship of Christ. (vs. 32)

Because the recognized that all was God’s, it was not their own.
C- Everything was aimed at accomplishing Christ’s command (). (vs. 33)
D- The church behaved as a family, taking care of each other (vs. 34).

A- Satan will often try to begin a counter-move to tempt believers to sin (4:37-5:2).
Why have you let Satan fill your heart?
How can a person lie to God?
How dangerous is it to conspire to test the Holy Spirit?
B- Members of the church must be held accountable for destructive sinful behavior (5:3-10).
Failure to hold believers accountable make us co-conspiritors!
C- The effect of accountability is Godly fear. (5:11)
3. A UNIFIED SURRENDER TO THE AWESOME POWER OF GOD (VS. 12-16).

A- When God’s people are surrendered to God, his power flows (vs. 12)
B- Surrender to God brings a growth in community reputation and evangelistic impact (vs. 13-14).
C- As the testimony of the church grows, more people are drawn to it…because God’s power is evident (vs. 15-16).
4. A WILLINGNESS TO BE OBEDIENT TO GOD AGAINST ALL ODDS (VS. 17-33).

A- Not everyone will be happy about God’s activity (vs. 17-18).
B- God calls for our obedience even in difficult circumstances (vs. 19-21).
C- God will demonstrate his power against his enemies, producing perplexity in them (vs. 22-25)
D- Obedience must remain bold and consistent even when all odds seem to be agains you (vs. 26-33).
5. A WINNING ATTITUDE THAT ACCOMPANIES A POSITIVE WITNESS (VS. 34-42).

A- A clear and complete witness to Jesus is vital (vs. 20-32).
B- The issue will become clear to those who oppose the Gospel (vs. 34-40)
C- A winning attitude and continued obedience must follow persecution (vs. 41-42).
