Jesus wants ordinary disciples. Followers whose faithfulness is not dependent on their own righteousness or greatness, but on God’s grace and forgiveness. People whose testimony to the difference Jesus makes distinguishes them against people who assert that Jesus’ Authority and Power come not from God but are self-serving; which is a total rejection of God and is unforgiveable.
