Response vs.9-11

23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror;

24 for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was.

25 But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.

Your response to the word and will of GOD is imperative to your spiritual growth and development. Israel clearly responds correctly in this passage to the reading and hearing of the word of God, which will inevitably lead to the doing of the will of GOD.

23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror;

24 for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was.

25 But one who looks intently at the perfect law, the law of liberty, and abides by it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an effectual doer, this man will be blessed in what he does.

How would you describe Israels response in vs. 9-11
what is your response to the revealed will of God
have you ever found it difficult to respond correctly to the will of God
how do you think Israels response will affect their future

Revelation vs. 12-15

The people celebrate the Feast of Booths
The people celebrate the Feast of Booths
()
In the reading of the law the people rediscover the Feast of Booths. This is a week-long festival during which the Israelites live in shelters (booths or tabernacles) made from branches and palms.
The festival is a thanksgiving for the wilderness journey which brought the Israelites to the Promised Land. Living in booths is a reminder of the simple life of daily trust in God. Having found the instructions (), they celebrate as never before. There are booths everywhere!
