CIT: Joseph’s setup as the winner of Egypt, but it came at a cost.

CIS: Joseph’s faced many trials leading up to him being the leader of Egypt.

SO: Kids will understand that they will face hard times as followers of Jesus.

SM - Have you ever taken a test that was to hard? Did you learn something that at first it was really hard? Why do we face hard times?

We – face hard times because in the hard times is when we grow. How you get stronger...

Genesis 41:41–43 NIV

41 So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt.” 42 Then Pharaoh took his signet ring from his finger and put it on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in robes of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck. 43 He had him ride in a chariot as his second-in-command, and people shouted before him, “Make way!” Thus he put him in charge of the whole land of Egypt.

You – will face setbacks, let me tell you, you will have hard times. bullies, people you thought were friends, mistakes you have made. This life as much as I would like to tell you, but it will not be filled with rainbows and unicorns. The promise because the Bible tells us we will have the greatest reward at the end.

We – face hard times, Jesus! We fall down, Jesus! You don’t know the right answer, Jesus! We learn that in every time of life to go to Jesus. The world will not feel as bad or hard. This is how everyone will know you are a follower of Jesus.

PRAY - Lord, in the hard times make me stronger for the next move!
