The book of Acts is the historical unfolding of how the Lord made his people witnesses and empowered them to witness.
Paul is known as the apostle to the Gentiles.
On his journey back to Jerusalem, he is arrested and blamed for bringing in a Greek into the Temple.
Paul is going to give his “defense” [apologetic] before the Jews in Jerusalem. In doing so, he gives his testimony. The root word for testimony is used multiple times in the passage. It is a point of emphasis that we should not take lightly:
v. 5 - "doth bear me witness"
v. 12 - "having a good report"
v. 15 - "witness"
v. 18 - "testimony"
v. 20 - "martyr"

Paul’s testimony points to who he was before Christ. Notice a couple of other places - ,
