John 16:24 ESV
Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
Introduction: Scooby Doo and our view of life from a Western worldview

Until we live like there is a spiritual world we will not make a spiritual difference

(1) We need to have our eyes opened

2 Kings 6:17 ESV
Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see.” So the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
2 Kings 6:17

(2) Jesus has authority over the spiritual world

Acts 19:
Acts 19:15–19 ESV
But the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?” And the man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them, mastered all of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. And this became known to all the residents of Ephesus, both Jews and Greeks. And fear fell upon them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was extolled. Also many of those who were now believers came, confessing and divulging their practices. And a number of those who had practiced magic arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. And they counted the value of them and found it came to fifty thousand pieces of silver.
Ephesians 6:
Ephesians 6:12 ESV
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 1:3 ESV
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,
Ephesians 1:20 ESV
that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places,
Ephesians 1:20
Ephesians 2:6 ESV
and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Ephesians 2:6
Ephesians 3:10 ESV
so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.

(3) Jesus gives us victory over the spiritual world

Ephesians 6:12 ESV
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

(4) We need to take Jesus’ spiritual power into our community

Acts 1:8 ESV
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Revival looks like family, where every table becomes an altar.
Revival looks like family, where every table becomes an altar.
To experience family you need to step in and be family.
We cannot influence a world that we refuse to touch. Our goal is not to get the city into the church but the church into the city.
If “Jesus” only happens at church, we aren’t truly following Jesus. We need Jesus in our homes, around the table, in our workplace if we are to truly make an impact. Moms and dads need to bring Jesus into their homes.

There are more people who are broken looking for healing than sinners looking for forgiveness. Jesus is the great physician. He wants to heal your soul.
