Sermon Tone Analysis

Grumbling often begins when we look for men to satisfy what only God can.

Griping is not an little sin which God overlooks… deep down it is questioning the character of God.

13 For it is God who is working in you both to will and to work according to his good purpose.

14 Do everything without grumbling and arguing, 15 so that you may be blameless and pure, children of God who are faultless in a crooked and perverted generation, among whom you shine like stars in the world,

A heart that is not content with God is a heart that is not content with men.

True faith understands God is always in control.

In times of crisis, our hope is not in fixing things, but turning to God.

Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me. 10 So I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and in difficulties, for the sake of Christ.

For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Our God shows grace to the undeserving.

Don’t underestimate how seriously God takes grumbling.

God gives grace, and sometimes wrath to prove who He is.
