This month we are studying about money
This month we are studying about money
Money is a very important thing
Much of our time is spent earning money
Much of our thinking is given to spending and using money
Money is often in our mind
and on our lips(oTh)
Not just us
Our society(samaaj) is obsessed(jununa) with money
Children will tell you their life goal(lakya) is to be rich!
People leave their families - for money
People sin and do wicked things - for money
We should learn what the Bible says about money!
This is very important
God says much about money in the Bible
One man counted(gannu) 2350 verses in the Bible about money
God is the owner of everything!
God is the owner of everything!
One owner! Not us!
Everything is his
Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.
The earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof;
The world, and they that dwell therein.
For the earth is the Lord’s, and the fulness thereof.
The land is his
The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.
Animals are his
For every beast of the forest is mine,
And the cattle upon a thousand hills.
Money is his
The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts.
To be a genuine(saamcho) follower(anyuyaahi) of Christ I must give ownership(svaamitba) to the Lord!
To be a genuine(saamcho) follower(anyuyaahi) of Christ I must give ownership(svaamitba) to the Lord!
So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.
If I truly give ownership(svaamitba) to the Lord,
There will be results(parinaam) in my life:
I will be content(santushTa)
I will be content(santushTa)
And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.
John Wesley - The Lord’s house burned. One less responsibility for me!
(Vehicle)
I will trust the Lord for provision(prabandha)
I will trust the Lord for provision(prabandha)
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
matthew 6 50
If God is the owner of everything
Provision(prabandha) is his responsibility(jimmevaari)!
I will see that spending(kharcha garnu) decisions are spiritual decisions(nirnaya)
Not “Lord, what should I do with my money?”
But “Lord, What should I do with YOUR money?”
