The Invitations are sent!
The Invitations are sent!
God’s invite list to Heaven includes everyone.
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters,
And he that hath no money;
Come ye, buy, and eat;
Yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
No one will be overlooked, snubbed, cut or discriminated against.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.
What we have here is a would wide invitation to Heaven.
Regardless of your past, your parents or your pain, all have been invited.
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
INVITATION!
Isaiah’s Invite Message
Isaiah’s Invite Message
Isiah now proclaims this invitation.
“Ho” - listen to what i have to say.
I will not tell you what you must bring with your invitation to enter the kingdom.
Surely all i need is the invitation? No, you need one more thing.
What? - Charles Spoke about today.
CAPH.
My soul fainteth for thy salvation:
But I hope in thy word.
My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God:
When shall I come and appear before God?
Thirst!, that is what the prophet says, the call goes to “everyone that thirsts!”
Are you thirsty?
Are you dissatisfied with life?
Are you thirsting for something better?
Does the world leave you thirsty?
Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
Jesus and only Jesus has the power to quench that thirst.
look again
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters,
And he that hath no money;
Come ye, buy, and eat;
Yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.
Is 55 1
He starts with water.
Water is used for washing away filth and supplying life to those who need it.
What is vital for life.
You can go 3 weeks with food, only 3 days without water.
The water that Jesus speaks of is the washing of our sins which bring us life.
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
eph 5 26
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Once the water has brought you life, next he offers you wine.
Wine in scripture is used to express joy and celebration.
Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.
ecc 16 9
ps 104 15
And wine that maketh glad the heart of man,
And oil to make his face to shine,
And bread which strengtheneth man’s heart.
finally the Lord with supply you with milk to grow.
I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
Jesus wants you and me to have life, abundant life, joy overflowing joy and growth, exponential growth.
Well sign me up!
not so fast.
Seek ye the Lord while he may be found,
Call ye upon him while he is near:
Let the wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts:
And let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him;
And to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Aaaah, Repentance.
This is where most thirsty people decide that they prefer the thirst.
Lets talk about this in closing:
I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
The problem is that most people o feel their need for repentance. They are good people.
Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness:
But a faithful man who can find?
So we need to hold up Go’d standard - God s extrance test.
