Introduction: Early dawn, on the LORD’s day, the earth quaked, frightened guards, the stone rolled away, an empty tomb, grave clothes neatly folded, a gleaming angel, early birds, and this, ‘Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified.

“He is not here, for He has risen, just as He said.

Come, see the place where He was lying.”’

All heaven-the dawn, the day, the descending angel, and happy-footed disciples declare that Jesus is risen.

Now ponder with me the personal implications of the risen Christ.

What does Jesus’ resurrection mean to you?

Jesus’ resurrection means that Jesus is who He claimed to be.

Jesus is the fulfillment of OT types revealed in the NT.

Jesus presents Himself in the NT.

Jesus’ resurrection means that Jesus accomplished what He came to do,

“It is finished.”

The prophecies and promises were fulfilled.

Jesus’ resurrection means that you have a decision to make.

Will you love Jesus?

Will you follow Jesus?

Will you love what Christ loves?

Will you be involved in the building of that church?
