“The Billy Graham the world saw in the big stadiums, was the same Billy Graham we saw at home.
There were not two Billy Grahams.” - Franklin Graham, giving Billy Graham’s eulogy
“He didn’t understand it all, but he sure believed it all.
The Bible was his sole authority.”
- Franklin Graham, giving Billy Graham’s eulogy
“Jesus tells us that no one comes to the Father except through Him.
The world with all of its political correctness would want you to believe that there are many roads to God.
It’s just not true.
How could Jesus make these claims?
How could He say that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and no one comes to the Father but by Him?
You see, Jesus was God in the flesh.
Because He is the only One in history to take our sins and to pay the debt of sin, and my father would want me to share this with you today that God sent His Son, His only Son from Heaven to this earth to take our sins and He took our sins to the cross and He died in our place, He shed his blood for each and every one of you.
And when He hung on the cross, God poured out the sins of mankind on His Son.
The sins past, present, future.
He shed His blood for our sins, He was buried for our sins and the third day God raised His Son to Life.
Jesus is not dead, He is alive and here today.
Do you trust Him?
He’ll come into each and every heart that invites Him and repents of sins and by faith believes on the Lord Jesus Christ.” - Franklin Graham, giving Billy Graham’s eulogy
“My father preached on heaven, told millions how to find heaven.
He wrote a book on heaven.
And today, he is in heaven.”
- Franklin Graham, giving Billy Graham’s eulogy
“… someday, you will read that Billy Graham is dead.
He said, “Don’t you believe one word of it.”
He said, “I will be more alive than I am now.
I will have just changed addressed that is all.”
- Franklin Graham, giving Billy Graham’s eulogy
“My father’s greatest longing has been granted.
He is in the presence of God.” - Franklin Graham, giving Billy Graham’s eulogy
“My last visit with my father was on Sunday, February 18.
And on the 21st of February He was escorted by God’s angels to the throne of God and I can only imagine what it was like for my father to step into heaven.
That there was the Lord Jesus Christ to say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
There was the throne of God, can you just imagine that?
My mother, his mother, father, friends, clapping, cheering, bells ringing, trumpets blowing.
Not because it was Billy Graham, it was just another child of God who has come home.”
- Franklin Graham, giving Billy Graham’s eulogy
John 11:21-24
1 Thessalonians 4
“What you and I believe is experientially identical.”
- Pastor David Asscherick
“When you are laboring in a place where souls are just beginning to get the scales from their eyes, and to see men as trees walking, be very careful not to present the truth in such a way as to arouse prejudice, and to close the door of the heart to the truth.
Agree with the people on every point where you can consistently do so.
Let them see that you love their souls, and want to be in harmony with them so far as possible.
If the love of Christ is revealed in your efforts, you will be able to sow the seed of truth in some hearts; God will water the seed sown, and the truth will spring up and bear fruit to His glory.” - EG White, Evangelism, Chapter 6
The greatest care is needed in dealing with these souls.
Be always on guard.
Do not at the outset press before the people the most objectionable features of our faith, lest you close the ears of those to whom these things come as a new revelation.
Let such portions of truth be dealt out to them as they may be able to grasp and appreciate; though it should appear strange and startling, many will recognize with joy that new light is shed on the Word of God.
Whereas if truth were presented in so large a measure that they could not receive it, some would go away and never come again.
More than this, they would misrepresent the truth, and in their explanation of what was said they would so wrest the Scriptures as to confuse other minds.
We must take advantage of circumstances now.
Present the truth as it is in Jesus.
There must be no combative or controversial spirit in the advocacy of truth.”
- EG White, Evangelism, Chapter 6
