Numbers 16:1-3

Korah - moses 1/2 brotherpartnered with Reubenites (non levite but firstborn)men of renown, not nobodies.

we can say when leaders begin bailing or questioning we need to be careful of a leader.

but how are they trying to effect?

its also a strange thing, this isnt just a church, but a nation.

its "church politics" at a crazy level.this

the levites knew better working around the holy Tabernacle.

For you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.”

they blame Moses for the loss of Canaan .

they think Mose will blind everyone and fool them into following.

The congregation stands by.

IF they are all so holy, why allowing such abuse?

The congregation is trying to save their lives from dying in wilderness?27 - your sin and your family.

There is a reason we are encouraged nay commanded to walk in holiness.

because our sin impacts our families and our nation.

these are the family that agrees and takes part in.

or are too young to rebel.

28 For the law appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints the Son who has been perfected forever."

this is why the Lord was ready to smite the whole of them.

notice, even as judgement has begun, Moses and Aaron drop to their faces interceding for them.

how old is Aaron now? like a hundred.

even as folks begin dropping dead, he is running among them, with the same censer that was a foci of jdugment with the 250, to stop the plague running through them now.

from judgment to mercy.14,700.

They were going to die, but why go like this?didn't stop atoning until the plague stopped.

so offering this incense, prayers, is atoning for their rebellion?

their staff symbolic of their authority and standing.

like this shillelagh, used by many in Ireland as a form of weapon, hidden in use as cane.

eventually becoming sign of status.they were often treated, wrapped, hardened, to be used as tools and weapons.

They were certainly beyond dead.

levite argued when moses put aarons name on rod.only a miracle could make the rod blossom.
