Luke 2: 8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests.” NIV

Thank you for coming to my birthday party.

Uh hello, Everyone is busy with giving each other and themselves gifts, enjoying themselves that they don’t even know I am here.

  • Peace on Earth,
  • Good will toward men. Where?

“Crash” is a movie that I saw last night. I didn’t watch it for entertainment but believe it or not I felt led to watch it for a reason. It is a shocking horribly realistic view of a world that cannot see God and about prejudices and the sins of man making us so wrapped up in ourselves and blind to others that we can no longer see other people. We don’t see sons and daughters, Fathers and mothers, any more beauty, dreams and real people, only stereotypes and our own fears.

Isolation and loneliness is the result.

Selfishness is our enemy, but why? Because of the works of selfishness? For sure these are destructive and wrong, but why?

I believe there are three major reasons that selfishness is so demonic and is a master plan of the devil.

  1. It makes us blind to God.
    1. When are blind we begin to worship the creation rather than the creator.

                                          i.    Atheism is a blind belief. Most atheists say “for lack of evidence I do not believe”

ii.    Therefore man becomes the highest being.

1.    Evolutionary ruler, selfish genes, survival of the fittest.

  1. It covers up, locks in the Godly deposit, within us. Makes the world blind to God.
    1. Good works reveal the Father, evil deeds make the world colder, loveless and blind to the father.

Matthew 24: 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, NIV

    1. Why? Because he is in us! Col 1:27

Colossians 1: 24 Now I rejoice in what was suffered for you, and I fill up in my flesh what is still lacking in regard to Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, which is the church. 25 I have become its servant by the commission God gave me to present to you the word of God in its fullness— 26 the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints. 27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. NIV

                                          i.     He’s in a baby, flesh.

1.    The smile of a baby, divine creativity, the touch and love of another human being. Each act of Compassion and mercy.

Matthew 5: 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. NIV

  1. It makes us blind to one another.
    1. What treasure is inside you.

Have you found the Godly deposit yet that he has made in you?

The glory that he wants to release out of you that the world can see and know that it is God that is there not you.

The world is waiting to see it.

Am I still trying to become something, someone or have I discovered yet that God only wants me to release what he has put inside me.
