Text:
Read:
“Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.”
INTRODUCTION: This text reveals that the resurrection of Christ brought to completion the plan through which man might be made “just” or “acquitted” of sin before God. Without the “finishing touch” of the resurrection, man’s redemption—in any form—would be invalid. To this the apostle Paul agrees: “And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins” (). Therefore the resurrection is the most important doctrine of the Christian church!

All who believe in the Son of God know in their hearts that this testimony is true. Those who don’t believe this are actually calling God a liar because they don’t believe what God has testified about his Son.
