This is the story of our lives too.No matter what happen, GOD wll carry out his plans and nothing can thaw it.Let us draw confidence and comfort This is how GOD rewarded Abraham for his obedience. To GOD, Isaac was as good as being offered to Him as a burnt offering,.Let see what is GOD’s attitude towards sacrifice and the people who brought the sacrifices, .
KJV 1900And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to hearken than the fat of rams.
GOD gave Isaac back to Abraham and Abraham erected a memorial on that mountain to remember this moment with GOD.Abraham named the place “Jehovah-jireh” - In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen. Most Bible translate Jehovah-jireh as “On the mount of the LORD it shall be provided”.The KJV is very unique as it has “it shall be seen”. The Hebrew word can be interpreted as “will see” or “will provide”.So, the way to understand the different translation is to understand how both meanings interact. That is GOD sees and He provided.GOD does not provide hazardly. He is all knowing and He provides according to His wisdom and goodness.
The Book of Genesis, Chapters 18–50 1. Abraham is Tested by God (22:1–19)The reader will come away from this story more impressed with God’s faithfulness than with Abraham’s compliance.
The only way for a righteous and holy GOD to forgive the sins of man was a blood sacrifice (without blood it is impossible????GOD gave His one and only begotten Son - sacrifice Him on the cross, to pay the penalty of our sin and rebellion.GOD the Father planned and prepared for this event and GOD the Son, Jesus Christ, willing obeyed the Father, even unto death.
KJV 1900And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the Lord it shall be seen.
