Reminders of the Gospel

Paul reminds of of the very gospel, which he had preached to those in Corinth. (NRSV)
The Resurrection of Christ
(Cp )
15 Now I would remind you, brothers and sisters, of the good news that I proclaimed to you, which you in turn received, in which also you stand, 2 through which also you are being saved, if you hold firmly to the message that I proclaimed to you—unless you have come to believe in vain. This is a very uplifting part of the message: the gospel, which Paul says he has preached to you, and which you received, and by which you stand, and by which you are being saved. Yes YOU!!!
Then comes the but! —unless you have come to believe in vain.
Paul says that he has given to you that which he had received: that Christ had died for our sins-in accordance with the scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day, in accordance with scripture, and that he appeared. People today is that day!! Praise God Almighty!!
So why does Paul keep reminding us of the according to scripture? This message is not about Paul. It is not about anything but the gospel of Christ Jesus. Paul wants us to know that what had happened was written down and prophesied about hundreds of years before it happened.
(NRSV)
5 and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. 6 Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers and sisters at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died. 7 Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. 8 Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me.
What happened? Jesus rose from the grave. He appeared to all these people asa witness to you.
Paul states now that Jesus appeared also to him, the least of all because he had persecuted the church. Let me ask you today, do you consider yourself among the least of these; have you also persecuted the church?

10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain.

On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. 11 Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed.
