7 Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him. 8 And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child. 9 Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place. 10 And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.

It is important that we learn to have the proper relationship with God. So many times, if we are not careful we will confuse the things of God, with the God of things. As a culture we find ourself worshiping, working even believing in God, NOT, for who he is but for what he can do. AS a matter of opinion, I can say that Church gives a better praise for the things that God has done, rather giving the best praise because he is God.
When we are in Church and you hear lets give the Lord a hand clap of praise; some people don’t even bother to get off of the phone. But when you hear he is about to change your situation from sick and suicidal to Satisfied and successful we let the thunder roar.
We are in a generation where we have to grasp the concept that you can not have the things of God, without having God; worshiping God for things will not work.
Young Samuel finds himself in a bad situation, the situation is, this young Lad is being spoken to by God but he is not able to recognize Gods voice.
